  2. BienvenidosMarzo 4, 2012Sinners are SavedbyFaithLos Pecadores Son Salvos Por La FeRomans / Romanos 4:1 - 4 Calvary Chapel West

  4. Romans 4:1-2 • 1 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.

  5. Genesis 12: 10-20 - Reference

• Genesis 16:4 • 4 He went in to Hagar, and she conceived; and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her sight.

  11. Genesis 16:1-16 • 1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife had borne him no children, and she had an Egyptian maid whose name was Hagar. 2 So Sarai said to Abram, “Now behold, the LORD has prevented me from bearing children. Please go in to my maid; perhaps I will obtain children through her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. 3 After Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram’s wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to her husband Abram as his wife.

  12. 4 He went in to Hagar, and she conceived; and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her sight. 5 And Sarai said to Abram, “May the wrong done me be upon you. I gave my maid into your arms, but when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her sight. May the LORD judge between you and me.” 6 But Abram said to Sarai, “Behold, your maid is in your power; do to her what is good in your sight.” So Sarai treated her harshly, and she fled from her presence. • 7 Now the angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.

  13. 8 He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.” 9 Then the angel of the LORD said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself to her authority.” 10 Moreover, the angel of the LORD said to her, “I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be too many to count.”

  14. 11 The angel of the LORD said to her further, • “Behold, you are with child, • And you will bear a son; • And you shall call his name Ishmael, • Because the LORD has given heed to your affliction. • 12 “He will be a wild donkey of a man, • His hand will be against everyone, • And everyone’s hand will be against him; • And he will live to the east of all his brothers.” • 13 Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, “You are a God who sees”; for she said,

  15. “Have I even remained alive here after seeing Him?” 14 Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered. 15 So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael. 16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to him.

  16. Romanos 4:3 • 3Porque ¿qué dice la Escritura? Y CREYO ABRAHAM A DIOS, Y LE FUE CONTADO POR JUSTICIA. • Romans 4:3 • 3 For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

  18. Genesis 15:5-6 • 5 And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” 6 Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.

  20. Galatians 3:16 • 16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ.

• John 8:56 • 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

  22. Santiago 2:23 • 23y se cumplió la Escritura que dice: Y ABRAHAM CREYO A DIOS Y LE FUE CONTADO POR JUSTICIA, y fue llamado amigo de Dios. • James 2:23 • 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS,” and he was called the friend of God.

Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due.

  26. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 • 23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

  27. 25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
