  2. Toledo, Spain is a gorgeous tourist spot and has amazing site seeing. In this photo above it shows the actual city next to a river. Toledo is also known as the imperial city and is located 44 miles southwest of Madrid.

  3. Information… • We will be traveling to Toledo, Spain on Monday June 7th and returning back to phoenix on Tuesday June 15th. • The trip will cost approximately $2700 per person not including airfare. • Our flight number is 1234 on American Airlines and departs from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. • We will also travel to exotic destinations and see outstanding tourist attractions. • Our Main goal is to expand our minds and be able to use what we already while HAVING FUN!

Why Toledo? • Toledo is only 44 miles out of Madrid. • Tourist attractions like: Museums and some of the worlds greatest cathedrals are located in this city. • Toledo is also home to some very extravagant resorts and vacation spots like the Palomero Hotel and Resort. (which is where we will be staying) • The foreign food and new customs of this country will be much fun to learn and try out. • Not to mention we get to use the vocabulary we have already learned.

  7. Weather and Climate • Toledo is best visited during the spring and summer months as this is when the weather is warm and sunny. May, June, September and early October are sunshine months, with hot temperatures . Fall is also very pleasant, with reasonably high temperatures and plenty of sunny days Winters are often sunny, but the evenings can become quite cold , although the air is refreshing and at this time of the year snow is not uncommon.

Tourist Attractions • Particularly notable tourist attractions include the El Greco House and Museum (Casa y Museo de El Greco) • The Alcázar an army museum that has been burned down several times due to the civil war • Monasterio de Santo Domingo El Antiguo (Santo Domingo El Antiguo Monastery) - This is an 11th-century convent that now displays religious items and early works by El Greco.

  11. Culture of Toledo • In Toledo it will be quite hot and very sunny so be prepared for shorts. Also leggings are a large fashion in that time of year. • Toledo is filled with many cultural influences and religions like: Christianity, Jewish, And ancient Moorish. • Toledo is located 44 miles out of Madrid and would be an excellent day trip filled with ancient ruins and city building tours. • It takes about one and a half hours by train to reach Madrid.

  13. FOOD!!!! • Quéso- most cheeses we will find or eat are made from cow’s milk, sheep’s milk, or ewe’s milk. • Omelets are also common breakfast foods in Toledo. • Jamón/Ham- is a common meat the people in Spain eat along with pork and seafood.
