  3. Status of Optical Mirrors • Completed Tasks • Manufacturing, tests and coating (gold sputtered) for CQM and PFM mirrors (incl. Alignment mirrors) • Open issues/NCRs: • Partial release of gold coating at single mirror lots : NCR processing in progress (e.g. process optimization) PACS FPU

IR Coating Status • Improved coating procedure: KT 72 Black Paint • Trade Off selection of baseline coating completed • Surface characteristics: deep black, rough surface • Thickness (average): 430 µm • Total mass: 1.7 kg (4.2 m²) • Completed Test verification • BRDF and specular measurements (Delft University), ambient temperatures • Liquid nitrogen shock tests • Outgasing tests : CVCM: < 0.1%, TML: approx. 1.2 % • Vibration test (ambient, LHe) of test samples and FW structures (Nov.2003) PACS FPU
