“Say Something” slide

  • I know, we are all singing the song in our heads, but let’s not do it out loud.

  • In a moment, you are going to see the “Say Something” slide that we used in our discussion on Wednesday.

  • This went ok on Wednesday, but we are going to see how we can make it BETTER today.

  • Take a moment to preview each of the four categories.

Make a prediction:

Ask a question:

  • This. Why are people starting to look at Thomas like he knows something?

  • Not that. Who is the boy that really doesn’t like Thomas?

    Make a prediction:

  • NOT this. I think that Thomas will run in the Maze because it is the title of the book.

  • But THAT. I think that the boys are going to start fighting / falling apart in the Glade because the girl is different, she says things will change, and there are no more helpers coming.

  • But THAT. Gally’s hatred of Thomas is like Bob Sheldon not liking greasers. I think this because they don’t really know each other but they are making decisions about how they feel anyway.
