  3. In this lesson you are going to learn to find and use two records of death on two different websites: • DEATH CERTIFICATES • http://www.archives.state.ut.us/research/indexes/20842.htm • NEWSPAPER OBITUARIES • http://digitalnewspapers.org/

  4. In Family Pedigree with Details on NFS you can highlight each direct line ancestor on the pedigree chart to find those who died in Utah.

  5. To find death records for deaths between 1904 and 1958 go to: http://www.archives.state.ut.us/research/indexes/20842.htm • Type in the name of the person, surname • Remember to search for married women under their married name. • 2. Click on Search. 2 1

  15. Here is the death record of Josephine Fielding Heath.Remember that we search for death records of married women under their married surnames. Now search at http://www.archives.state.ut.us/research/indexes/20842.htmfor Josephine Fielding Heath.

  16. When you check in Family Pedigree on NFS you find mother Mary Ann died in Utah before 1904, so there will not be a death certificate for her.
