Her Blessed Birth • SayyidatinaFatima was born in Makkah in the year 18 B.H • She was born 5 years before the Prophet declared his Prophethood • She was born when the Prophet was 35 years old • She was born in the same year the Ka’ba was re-built • She is the youngest daughter of ProphetMuhammad and Sayyidatina Khadija

  7. Her Blessed Birth continued… The seal of the Anbiya (Prophets ) said: “‘O Khadijah , the faithful spirit of Allah has informed me that this child will be a daughter. Call her Fatimah , because it is a pure and blessed name.’” (The Wayfarer)3

  8. Her Blessed Childhood • From childhood, Sayyidatina Fatima was very pious • The Prophet liked her simplicity and disregard for the world • She resembled the Prophet the most in her features and habits

Her Blessed childhood continued… Once the Prophet was performing Salah at the Ka’ba and a group of disbelievers placed camel intestines on top of the Prophet’s back while he was performing sajdah. Sayyidatina Fatima scared the disbelievers away and quickly removed the intestines off the back of the Prophet

  10. Her Marriage • Married to Sayyidina ‘Ali during the month of Muharram in the year 2 A.H • Sayyidina ‘Ali presented his armour as the dowry

  11. Her Parenthood • She had famous two sons and two famous daughters with Sayyidina ‘Ali • They are: • Sayyidina Imam Hasan • Sayyidina Imam Husain • Sayyidatina Umm Kulthum • SayyidatinaZaynab • It is only through Sayyidatina Fatima that the lineage of the Prophet is maintained

Gift of Tasbih • Sayyidatina Fatima approached the Prophet for a maid for housework • The Prophet instead gave her the gift of tasbih to recite after every Salah: - SubhanAllah (Glorified is Allah) (33 times), - Al-HamduLillah(All Praise is for Allah) (33 times) and - Allahu Akbar (Allah is Supremely Great) (34 times) • He said the tasbih was better for her than the maid

Mention in the Qur’an aboutSayyidatina Fatima • Allah says in the Holy Qur’an, “And they give food, out of love for Him, to the needy, the orphan and the prisoner.” (76:8) • The above ayah is in relation to the Family of Sayyidatina Fatima after observing 3 days of fasts for the recovery of their sons Imam Hasan and Imam Husain • Angel Jibreel congratulated them saying Allah is very pleased with them

  14. Hadith about Sayyidatina Fatima • The Holy Prophet declared, “Fatima is part of me: one who annoys her, will annoy me”(Sahihal-Bukhari) 1 • The Holy Prophet has said: “Fatima is the leader of the women in Paradise.”(Sahihal-Bukhari)2

  16. Other Notable Facts • “The most beloved to me” , said the Prophet when referring to Sayyidatina Fatima 4 • When Sayyidatina Fatima would visit the Prophet he would stand up, welcome her, kiss her forehead and make her sit in his place1 • Leader of the women folk in Jannah

  17. Other Notable facts continued… • She is among the 4 greatest women which include Sayyidatina Mariam , SayyidatinaAsiya , and Sayyidatina Khadija • She is among the Ahl al-Kisa, which comprises of the Prophet ,Sayyidina Ali Sayyidatina Fatima , Sayyidina Imam Hasan and Sayyidina Imam Husain

  18. Passing Ahead • Sayyidatina Fatima was 29 years old when she passed ahead on the 3rd of Ramadan 11 A.H • She passed ahead only 6 months after the passing ahead of the Holy Prophet and was the first to meet him after his passing ahead • She is laid to rest in JannatulBaqi, Madina

  19. Sayyidina Ali said after the passing ahead of Sayyidatina Fatima “Each meeting of two friends has an end Every grief is slight, except separation; If I have lost Fatima after Ahmad, it is a sign that no friend remains.” 3

  20. Du’a O Allah! Fill our hearts with the love of Prophet Muhammad  , and with the love of his Family and his Companions .2
