KEY CHALLENGES FOR 2010-11 • The departments climate change response capacity – • Structure: • Formal establishment of the Branch: Climate Change; • Dealing with the negative impacts associated with temporary/transitional structures, e.g. uncertainty, insecurity, alienation, etc. • Systems: • GHG inventory, MRV, etc.

KEY CHALLENGES FOR 2010-11 (Cont.) • The departments climate change response capacity (Cont.) – • Skills: • Attracting skilled staff. • Strategy: • A comprehensive and coherent strategy for the department to deliver on its mandate. • Interrelationships: • inter-Ministerial coordination and cooperation • Intra- and inter-governmental coordination and cooperation • Stakeholder engagement
