Roles and responsibilities Follow up action on gaps emerging from the community process Periodic review of functioning of SHC, PHC and CHC Display and dissemination of Citizens Charter and guaranteed health services Initiate appropriate action on instances of denial/ negligence in provision of health services Consolidation of village health action plans and charting out annual priorities

  4. Composition of the Committees (Normative) • 30% - Zilla, Janpad/ Taluka, Gram Panchayat representatives • 40% - officials from Health, ICDS and PHED • 30% - NGO /CBO representatives

  5. Some positive experiences • Suggestion boxes installed in PHC/ CHC to receive client feedback • Untied funds being utilized as per locally identified priorities • Rational deployment of ANMs • Streamlining supplies of essential medicines
