4. Requirementsfor Financial Aid • A citizen of the United States or eligible non-citizen • Enrolled in a degree program • Continue making satisfactory academic progress • Sign a statement of educational purpose, and certify that you don’t owe the government any money for anything else.

6. How is Financial Need determined? The Formula: • Cost of Attendance • Less EFC • = Financial Need EFC: Expected Family Contribution determined by FAFSA process. It is possible for the Financial Aid Director to consider making an adjustment to the EFC on an individual basis due to unique financial circumstances.

Seminarian Health Insurance • Health Insurance is required for ELCA Seminarians • www.eiiassip.org • Plan Options for 2010-2011 (reviewed annually) • Enhanced : $3,419 • Core: $2,484 • Costshare: $1,420 • Spouse and Dependant coverage is available with Enhanced and Core plans only • Waiver option: if you will have insurance coverage and that plan meets criteria specified annually on health insurance website. Students are required to register insurance info. on the health insurance website annually.

WTS SCHOLARSHIPS In order to receive a WTS Scholarship, you must: Receive provisional acceptance into the MDIV or MA degree program through the WTS Admissions Office Complete the FAFSA Complete the WTS Financial Aid Application Submit signed 1040 Tax Form Be Selected by the WTS Scholarship Committee Return WTS Scholarship Acceptance Agreement

Send completed housing application with housing deposit to Kayla Feller, Wartburg Seminary Business Office, at your earliest convenience. Please inform Kayla of your intended move in dates as early as possible . (this will aid in expediency with the assignment process )

Students will not be guaranteed a housing unit until they are provisionally /fully accepted to WTS through the Admissions office. Housing assignments can be expected by approx. May/June.

Wartburg Theological Seminary Housing Assignment Process Things to consider: Renter’s Insurance Sorting, Prioritizing, and possibly Simplifying Make plans for current pets - (one dog, one cat or two cats only in pet units) Pet suggestion: If you don’t have a pet now, don’t get one. Instead, plan for a pet as a possible reward when you move into your new home after seminary.
