  4. Personal • Are used to refer to a person • I • You • Me • He • We • Him • Us • She • They

  5. Are used to express possession My Mine Your Yours Our Ours Her Hers His Their Theirs its Possessive

  6. Express an amount or refer to an unspecified person or thing All Any Anyone/everyone both either Nobody/anybody Few Many No one Several Each Most None Neither some Indefinite

  7. Demonstrative • Point to specific people or things • This • That • These • Those

  8. Interrogative • Begin a question • Who? • What? • Whose? • Which? • Whom? • When?

  9. Reflexive pronouns • End in –self or –selves and refer to an earlier noun or pronoun in the sentence • Are used only when referring to an action done to himself or herself • The action reflects back to the same person • Annie taught herself to sing.

  11. Intensive pronouns • Add emphasis • I myself do not believe the story. • He himself is a good author.

  16. Relative pronouns Introduce subordinate clauses I believe that the room is warm. Central station, which is located in the city, is large.
