AIR CONNECTIONS: International:Air cargo facility available as Hyderabad is an International Airport with direct flights by Air India, Lufthansa, British Airways, Malaysian, Singapore Air, Emirates, Sri Lanka Airlines, Gulf Air, Oman Air, Qatar Air and many more Airlines joining the stream (plans for Air Mauritius to join are in the offing) Domestic: Hyderabad is well connected to both domestic and international destinations.

MAJOR SEA PORT • Vizag is one of the major sea ports and only deep seaport in India with a natural harbor. • 600 Km distance from Hyderabad. • 50 freight forwarding agents are registered with Visakhapatnam port trust and Department of Customs. • 30 berths are available in this sea port. • 15 Shipping lines are operating. Some of them are American President lines, Maerk Sea land, Hyundai, Shipping Corporation of India etc. • Another major port Krishnapatnam in Nellore District is expected to be ready by mid 2008.

LABOUR LAWS IN ANDHRA PRADESH • Andhra Pradesh is known for its Industrial peace. • Conducive and flexible labour laws • Women workers are allowed to work in three shifts • No flash strikes since units set up in select Industrial zones are declared as public utility service. • Self certification for all industrial units in respect of labour and factories regulations is permitted. • Common Annual Return in place of multiple returns. • Minimum wage as on date is Rs.1650/- but under consideration for revision.

STRENGTHS OF ANDHRA PRADESH • Fully trained manpower available. • With International school of Management and 20 Universities in AP, trained management professionals are available for campus recruitment. • Engineering Graduates and Technical operators like Fitters, electricians and other category are available in plenty with a 265 engineering colleges and over 1000 polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutions in the State. • AP is a beehive of super specialty Hospitals and medical facilities are available through both Government & Private medical service providers. • High Quality Schooling for children available throughout the state.

  11. Major brand leaders already in A.P. Brandix a leading Garment company of Srilankan origin is setting up a Textile & Garment city SEZ in Vizag in 1000 acres and providing employment for 60,000 people in coming 5 years. Quite a few other brand leaders from India are converging into Andhra Pradesh. To name a few Gokuldas exports Orient Craft Gokuldas Images Langoors Sahi Exports Texcorp Langoors MAS Holdings and a few other brand leaders in Fabric making like S.KUMARS, Prime Textiles and SIMA are also setting up their parks.

  12. GoAP INITIATIVES FOR PROMOTION OF GARMENT & TEXTILE INDUSTRY • New Industrial Investment Promotion Policy and Textile and Apparel Promotion Policy with great emphasis on provision of Quality Infrastructure and creating right industrial environment is announced. • A.P. is the 3rd largest producer of cotton in the country and hence abundant raw material is available. • A.P.Textile Policy 2005-2010 is under implementation.Please visit www.ap-apparelpark.com • Potable & process water at concessional tariff provided at the door step of the park. • Government of AP offers a one time training grant of Rs.5000/- per each sustainable employment provided in the park.

Un-interrupted quality power without statutory power cuts is made available. • Power reimbursement of Rs.0.75/unit for Textile and Rs.1/unit for Garment Industry on the existing tariff. • 25% of the tax paid during one financial year will be ploughed back as a grant towards payment of tax for the next year. This benefit will be available for 5 years.

  14. Creation of all allied infrastructure such as Telecommunication, Broadband connectivity and information kiosks, Transportation links from Industrial areas to Towns (bus service), Housing Complexes nearer to industries, Container depots, Exhibition halls will be encouraged by private participation. • 100% reimbursement of stamp duty and transfer duty paid by the industry on purchase of land meant for industrial use.

  15. Quality certification will be encouraged. • 25% subsidy on cleaner production measures with a cap. • 50% subsidy on the expenses incurred for patent registration with a cap. • Projects exceeding investments of Rs.100 crores or providing sustainable employment to over 2500 will get special privileges which are negotiable with Government. • All procedures for inspections, maintenance of registers, are simplified.

  16. APPAREL SEZ IN PALAMANER, CHITTOR DISTRICT • Park proposed to be developed in Palamaner • 110 KM from Bangalore City • Propose Site on NH-4 (Chennai & Bangalore) bordering Karnataka. • Nearly 700 self help groups are available in Palamaner Mandal • Training on Juki Machines is in progress • 33 KV substation available near the propose site • Applications will be received by December 2006

APPAREL SEZ IN HINDUPUR BY RAHEJA GROUP (ANANTHAPUR DIST.) • Raheja Group known for its expertise in infrastructure development is setting up a Garment SEZ in Hindupur. • The location is 100 KM from Bangalore. • Water, Power & Roads being provided by Government of Andhra Pradesh till the door step. • The park is expected to come up by mid 2008.

EXCLUSIVE TEXTILE PROCESSING ZONE IN BAPATLA, GUNTUR DIST. • We are in the process of setting up an exclusive Textile Processing City at 150 Km from Naidupeta, viz., Bapatla in Guntur District, which will be provided with a marine out fall and water supply from P.T Canal. • This Processing City will be a feeder unit to the Textile Parks proposed in Naidupet and Tada. • Some Textile Units also can be accommodated in this processing city.

  26. TEXTILE PARK IN RAKAMCHERLA NEAR HYDERABAD • Government of Andhra Pradesh is proposing to setup a Textile Park in Rakamcherla Village. This park will be able to house Spinning units, Textile Weaving & Knitting and Garmenting units. The following are the salient features of the proposed park. • Land available for the park is 129 acres • This land is in Rakamcherla ,Ranga Reddy District on Pargi / Raichur Road.

  27. The distance to the park site from Hyderabad is 62 kilometers. • The park will depend on ground water and the water table is enough to feed non-processing operations of the park. • The park site is at a distance of 15 km from Chevella, 12 km from Vikarabad on Hyderabad-Raichur road and 12 km from Pargi and thus there will be enough labour available. • Vikarabad Railway Station is a Junction connecting Tirupathi, Mumbai, Hyderabad & Bangalore.

  28. APPAREL EXPORT PARK, GUNDLAPOCHAMPALLY • Park is set up in 176 acres with an outlay of Rs.14.08 cr. • 121 plots allotted to (51) Investors • No.of Units under production: 14 • No.of Units under construction: 15 • Promoters seeking joint ventures/Partnerships: 22 • Employment so far created: 6000

  29. APPAREL EXPORT PARK, VISAKHAPATNAM • The project is set up in 146 acres of APIIC land • Approved Project Cost: Rs.2642.24 lakhs ( Rs 681.51 lakhs GoAP share + Rs 1669.53 lakhs GoI share) • Lay out is approved by VUDA • No. of plots available – 10 of 2000 sq.mts each. • SPV is formed under Section 25 of Companies Act 1956 and started functioning. • Amenities like power, water are provided.

  30. TEXTILE PARK, PASHAMYLARAM (MEDAK DIST.) • Park is located at a distance of 45 kms from Hyderabad. • Fully developed industrial area. • 97 plots laid and 20 plots are available for sale in 100 acres of land allotted for this park. • APIIC is the executing agency of the park. • GOI have approved the project with an estimated cost of Rs.1102.81 lakhs. (GOI Rs.988.67 lakhs, GOAP Rs.114.14 lakhs) • Lay out plan approved by DCTP.

  31. Non polluting industries like spinning, weaving, knitting and Garmenting are permitted in this park while 160 acres of land is allotted separately at Indrakaran (v) for establishment of Central dyeing and processing house. • Process houses will receive encouragement to set up their projects in Indrakaran Process Zone. • PCB issued clearance certificate for the establishment of Common Dyeing and Process house with zero percent discharge. • IL&FS has been requested to prepare detailed Project Report.

  32. HYDERABAD HI-TECH TEXTILE PARK, KOTHUR, MAHABUBNAGAR DISTRICT • Project Cost: 150.00 cr. cleared by MoT, GoI under SITP. • 108 Entrepreneurs procured 140 acres of private land at Chegur village of Kothur Mandal at a distance of 35 KM from Hyderabad & 15 KM from International Airport. • HHTP has entered into MoU with IL&FS for Project Management. • Director Country and Town planning AP, Hyderabad approved the layout plan. • APPCB clearance is awaited. • Common ETP with zero discharge is being planned. • A few plots are available for sale and the promoters are looking for joint venture/equity partners.

  33. TEXTILE PARK, POCHAMPALLY • Total Project cost is Rs.331.03 lakhs; Government allotted 50 acres of land in Malkapur (V) of Choutuppal (M). • So far Rs.223.38 lakhs spent on infrastructure Development. • 110 plots laid in the Park and few plots are available for sale. • Promoters are looking for partners / joint Venture partners. • CFC building is constructed for training, exhibition and sale. • Training for creation of skilled man power is in progress. • Environment impact assessment is in progress.

  34. TEXTILE PARK - SIRICILLA, KARIMNAGAR • This park is situated in a distance of 140 kms from Hyderabad. • The total park area is 65 acres. • Govt. of India have approved the Textile park Sircilla with total outlay of Rs.773.39 lakhs. (GOI Rs.428.78 lakhs GOAP Rs.85.73 lakhs) • We are looking for a prospective Process House to be created for which 3 acres of land is kept reserved in the park. • GoAP has created a CETP facility in the park. • The Director, Country and Town planning AP. Hyderabad has approved the lay out plan of Textile Park, Sircilla. • Training is in progress in weaving technology.
