  3. Preparation Pipe is Cleaned Gaskets are Inspected

  4. Preparation Gear-Box is Installed Pipe is Taped

  5. Preparation Tape is Greased Castings/Gaskets are Readied

  6. Preparation Castings are Greased Gaskets are Placed in the Castings and Greased

  7. Installation Top Half of Valve is Placed on Pipe Bottom Half is Bolted in Place

  8. Installation Valve is Leveled Chain Drive is Installed

  9. Installation Mounting Plate is Attached Restraint-Ring is Installed

  10. Installation The Valve is Filled With Water Chip-Flush Assembly is Attached

  11. 120º Slot Milling The EM Machine is Attached Pressure-Test is Performed

  12. AVT’s EM-Machine EM Machine (End Mill) Temporarily mounts in place of valve bonnet and features field-replaceable cutting blades available in pneumatic, hydraulic or electric drives

  13. 120º Slot Milling Valve is Rotated to Cutting-Start Position EM Machine Utilizes Replaceable Carbide Inserts (2 Cutting Sides)

  14. 120º Slot Milling Cutting Begins and Pipe is Pierced The Pipe is Pierced

  15. 120º Slot Milling Valve is Rotated 120ºto Mill Slot Once Pipe is Pierced Chip Flushing Begins

  16. 120º Slot Milling Valve Assembly and Cutting Unit Are Rotated Milling is Finished and Cutter is Withdrawn From Pipe

  17. 120º Slot Milling EM Machine Removed Valve Returned to Upright Position & Isolation Gate Closed

  18. Bonnet Attachment Mounting Plate Removed Valve Bonnet Installed

  19. Bonnet Attachment Valve Gate is Closed 2/3 of the Way Isolation Gate Opened

  20. Tool Removal End Rings Removed Chain Removed

  21. Finishing Touches Final Tightening Performed & Restraint Bolts Installed Valve Completely Closed

  22. Gate Activation Gate is Lowered Into Milled Slot Gate is Closed and Compressed into Pipe

  23. Finishing Touches Chip-Flush Assembly Removed Pipe Plug Installed

  24. Finishing Touches Bonnet Attached and Ready for Use Job is Complete

  25. Tool Box All EZ Valve Equipment Comes in a 23” x 24” x 28” (584.2mm x 609.6mm x 711.2mm) Heavy-Duty Steel Jobsite Box Which Weighs 550lbs EZ Valve Equipment (4”-12” (118mm-326mm)
