  • The Lexmark Legal Partner is a laser multifunction printer (MFP) customized specifically for the legal industry to deliver workflow efficiencies today’s law firms demand and to deliver cost recovery functionality to workgroups.

  • Offered only on the Lexmark X646dte model

  • Features 2 workflow solutions in addition to standard MFP functions

  • Built on Lexmark’s Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF)

  • Custom idle screen and background on eTask Interface

  • Copitrak-capable*and allows users of Copitrak software to track copy, fax and e-mail jobs to specific clients, allowing firms to trace each transaction back to an individual billable account.

  • Simple setup / configuration via printer’s web page

  • Offered at a street price of $3,699

    *The Copitrak application must be activated through Control Systems Copitrak and requires additional fees. Instructions on how to activate this application are available through the Copitrack icon on the Lexmark Legal Partner.

Scan To Court

  • Allows a law firm’s administrator to set scan to e-mail file size limits based on their local court’s restrictions.

  • The Scan to Court application provides two options to choose from:

    • Stop the scan if the document exceeds the preset limit and allow the user to adjust their settings and rescan

    • Separate the scan job into smaller attachments each smaller than the preset file limit

  • Reduces potential trips to MFP for “rescans” of oversized attachments

Press the “Scan to Court” icon on eTask Interface

Enter the court’s e-mail address and then press the “E-Mail It” icon.

If the file size of the scanned document exceeds the court’s preset limit, the eTask will display a message indicating as such. Additionally, suggestions will be provided for reducing the file size.

Scan settings such as scan resolution, can be changed to reduce the file size to be within the court’s specifications.

Once a setting is changed, press “E-Mail It.”

A message will be displayed if the scanned document’s file size is within the court’s specified limits.

  • The Lexmark Legal Partner also includes a Scan to Network application that allows users to quickly scan documents to custom locations on the network – including user home directories.

  • This allows lawyers to capture, profile, index and store documents directly into their personal folders on the network and maintain confidentiality while also saving time.

Select the icon representing the folder into which you would like to scan your document.

  • The next screen gives you an opportunity to:

  • Change the folder

  • Input a specific file name

  • Opt to print a confirmation page

  • Change the scan settings

The Lexmark Legal Partner is Copitrak-capable* and allows users of Copitrak software to track copy, fax and e-mail jobs to specific clients, allowing firms to trace each transaction back to an individual billable account.

Copitrak Activation Instruction Sheet

When the Copitrak Activation icon is selected from the touchscreen, a sheet of instructions will be printed telling the customer who to contact to purchase the application key in order to activate the embedded application for integration into their Copitrak software system.
