Your assignment

Your Assignment

  • For this assignment you must design a static image which reflects the main idea of ONE of the texts studied in class.

  • Your static image must:

  • Include a short quotation which relates to the main idea of the text.

  • Use images, colour, layout and font which link to the quotation and idea you have chosen.

  • A3 size (landscape or portrait)

  • Have a 150 word (minimum) commentary which explains the choices you have made in constructing your image and how it helps show the main idea.

  • Might be a good ‘made’ artefact for the R&J project… just sayin’

You will be assessed on

You will be assessed on:

  • How well you communicate the main idea of your text.

  • How effectively you have combined verbal and visual techniques. (text and images)

  • How clearly you identify and explain the techniques you have used in your image.

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Choose which quote you want to use from the text you have studied.

  • Identify an important idea which relates to this quote.

  • Brainstorm which images and techniques you could use to support this quote.

  • Draft and create your static image.

  • Write your commentary.

  • Paste your commentary to the back of your finished image.
