Office of Residential Life Aims to create and increase social interaction and cultural awareness in the SP community and throughout the campus through different events and programs: • Organizes SP social events and activities: -weekly coffee hours -Monthly brunches -Outings -Athletic activities and outings - Cultural coffee hours and dinner series • Organizes and runs the orientation events some of which are with collaboration with GSC and other dormitories. • Organizes some of the campus-wide or cross-campus social events: - campus-wide dance parties - campus-wide BBQ’s and movie screenings. - Harvard-MIT dance parties (every other year)

New initiatives: • Work on building a stable relationship with the new Ashdown • Create and work on IM sports • Increase the number of smaller social events and programs that target residents with common interest via collaboration with different offices and committees: athletics, music, CoSI, etc.

SP Internal Housing Lottery • Who is eligible? • SP residents with renewable housing contracts • Incoming house officers • Timeline: • May 5: Lottery opens, the list of rooms available is made public • May 9: Room/roommate preferences are due at 11:59 pm • May 13: Room assignments are posted • All moves MUST be completed by August 20th • If you want to stay in your room, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING!
