How to Order from Chartwells • On-line!!! • http://depaulcatering.com/index.php • New Organizations: • Click on “Become a New Customer” • Returning Organizations: • Click on “Log In” • Will need • Email • Password If the organization is returning, but the officers are different, then you should “Become a New Customer”

  4. Becoming a New Customer • Step 1 • Select your category • “Student organization” • Step 2 • Customer Registration • Budget Manager/ Advisor should always be Carrie Don, cdon@depaul.edu, ext 52486 • Step 3 • Registration Complete • Write down password!!!

Steps to Purchase Food • Step 1 • Log In • Step 2 • Register Event Information • Step 3 • Choose Menu/ Food • No Frills • not catered; you order and pick-up • Cheaper than Classic menu • Classic Menu • Step 4 • Click “Check Out” • Step 5 • Choose Payment method • $ from SAF-B…Click on SAF-B number • SAF-B number is 52486 *A confirmation email will be sent after the order is placed.

  6. Chartwells/ Student Life Policies Any food for an event, meeting, etc. on DePaul property must be ordered from Chartwells. Never pay for Chartwells with your own money if money was allocated from SAF-B. Food must be ordered at least 48 hours in advance from time of event. Food under $100 can be brought on campus from any vendor. If the food is over $100 and ordered from an off campus vendor, you and/or the organization will not be reimbursed!

  7. Food off Campus • Events off campus can order food from any vendor, but should contact the Office of Student Life to follow proper payment policies if SAF-B funded or using on-campus funds. • Banquets at restaurants/ hotels • Must have a contract • Look at Contract PowerPoint • Dinner at restaurants • Pay and get reimbursed • Turn in ITEMIZED receipt • Turn in transaction receipt (what shows the tip) • Back of receipt should have: • First and Last name, email, student ID number • Possibly Pre-Pay

  8.   9. Bake Sale Are allowed only if it is not necessary to heat or cool the item for safe consumption. Wrapped Individually and in something clear. Must be cleaned thoroughly immediately following the bake sale. Table must be manned during the duration of the sale. If the food is made by the student organization, then you need no permission. If the food was donated, then the organization will need to follow the food donation policy.

  10. Food not on the Menu • If your event is requesting food (typically cultural or religious food) that is not on the menu you must contact Chartwells. • Typically, the chef will: • Ask for the recipe • Make the food • Depending on the event and menu there may be a tasting offered. *There may be an extra fee for food not on Chartwells menu.
