  1. WAR IN HEAVEN, freedom & victory on earth(Rev 12:7-11)

  2. Rev 12:7-9 – And war broke out in heaven: Michael & his angels fought with the dragon; & the dragon & his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil & Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, & his angels were cast out with him.

  3. Rev 12:10 – Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, & strength, & the kingdom of our God, & the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day & night, has been cast down. • This war in heaven occurred when Jesus died & arose from the grave to bring salvation to man & to establish His Kingdom (Mark 16:15-16; Eph 2:8-9; Acts 2:36; Col 1:13, etc.)

  4. The DEATH OF JESUS means the DEFEAT OF SATAN • Satan was cast out of Heaven when Jesus died (John 12:28-33; Col 2:12-15; Heb 2:14-15; 1 John 3:8; Gen 3:15; Luke 10:16-20). • Satan was in Heaven (Job 1; Zech 3). • Satan tried to stay (Matt 4; John 1:10-11; 13:27). • Satan helped to fulfill God’s plan (Rev 12:11; 1 Pet 1:17-25; 2:21-25).

  5. Rev 12:11 – And theyovercame himby the blood of the Lamb & by the word of their testimony, & they did not love their lives to the death. (cf. 1 Pet 1:17-25; 2:21-25).

  6. The DEATH OF JESUS means the DEFEAT OF SATAN • Jesus’ death was the power God used to draw all men to Himself (John 12:32-33). • Jesus’ death was the power God used to drive Satan out of His presence (John 12:30-31).

  7. The DEFEAT OF SATAN means VICTORY FOR US • Christians are spoils taken in a great battle (Matt 12:28-29; Eph 4:8). • The spoils will be taken to where Christ the Victor resides (Matt 25:34, 41, 46). • Are you among His spoils (Acts 2:38; Gal 3:27)?

  8. The DEFEAT OF SATAN means VICTORY FOR US • Christians have the power to defeat Satan (Rom 6:23; Heb 2:14). • Satan is still a very powerful force in this world (Eph 2:2). • But Satan is powerless against the seed of Abraham (Heb 2:16; Gal 3:27, 29).

  9. The DEFEAT OF SATAN means VICTORY FOR US • Victory over Satan is through the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:56). • His shed blood procures forgiveness & eternal redemption (Eph 1:7; Rom 4:25; 2 Cor 5:14-15). • No one can bring an accusation against the spoils of Christ (Rom 8:33-34). • Sins are forgiven (Acts 2:38; 1 John 1:7, 9).

  10. Victory can be yours! Jesus won the war long ago. You can be victorious over the Adversary, through the blood of Christ (1 Pet 5:8-9; Rom 6:3-4, 17-18).

  11. Forgiveness of Sin: Salvation! • Faith in Jesus Christ through the Gospel John 8:24; 20:30-31; Rom 1:16; 10:9-10; Mark 16:16; Heb 11:6 • Repent or turn from sins Luke 24:46-47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 17:30-31 • Confess faith in Christ Matt 10:32-33; Acts 8:36-38; Rom 10:9-10 • Be baptized (immersed) in water Matt 28:19; Mk 16:16; Acts 2:38; Rom 6:3-4; 1 Pet 3:21 • Live in obedient faith Heb 5:8-9; 1 Peter 1:14; Rev 2:10
