Site Evaluation: Construction • Construction analysts are tasked to evaluate the site for a temporary heliport on the grounds. • Using the 3D CAD/GIS Client to render the CAD plans and GIS models, they determine the location of the heliport based upon the surface landing location and the AIXM model for a heliport. These additions to the facility will necessitate taking one of the airport runways, taxiway and apron out of service. • The construction analysts create several views of the construction model over time and insert in the CMS. The construction analysts, working together with the GIS analysts, review the stages of the project in the CAD/GIS Client. The analysts then update the CAD file in the CDS using the CAD/GIS Client and update GIS features in the WFS-T using the CAD/GIS Client. • As part of the construction analysis, a Canadian analyst requests the WFS features in French. • The construction analyst creates a CityGML feature collection of the information relevant to the other operations for update in the WFS. • In addition, he creates a Context document linking to the WFS and CMS content.
