  2. Read this quote: “Cut back on your possessions. The more you own, the more time you waste taking care of things.” – The Delany Sisters Think: In our society, success is often defined by how much we own. What if it were the opposite? Think carefully about this statement

  3. Your task today: • Write an essay explaining how possessions could be a burden.

  4. For the next two minutes, write one sentence stating how possessions could be a burden. This can be your first sentence. • Hint: Use the language of the prompt to write your complete sentence. Prompt:Write an essay explaining how possessions could be a burden.

  5. Take a breath and indent. • Think of a character in a movie, television show, or book who has a possession that became a burden. • For the next four minutes, explain how this possession was burdensome or difficult. How did it affect this person’s life and the lives of those around them?
