SAFETY OF NAVIGATION ISSUES • Different terminal LPG/LNG, chemical tanker, oil tanker, bulk, container, general, … • Accommodation of ships is almost of unlimited dimensions (DWT up to 350.000t), • Coastal area – sea route around the islands, • Crossing situations and risk of groundings, • Environmental protection: • Tourist areas, • Consequences of accidents would be incalculable (invaluable, inestimable, immense). • Number of fishing boats and pleasure crafts.
