  2. Project partners • Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus, Germany • University of Nis, Faculty of Electronic Eng. Nis, Serbia • University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Eng., East Sarajevo, Bosnia und Herzegovina • Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Faculty of Electrical Eng. and Information Technologies, Skopje, Macedonia

  3. Project Goals • The goal of this project is to provide a transfer of knowledge and improvement of technical expertise level related to embedded systems design acquired at BTU Cottbus to South-East European Universities. • The project’s transfer will be limited to the following topics: Wireless Sensors Networks (WSNs) and System-on-Chip (SoC) design.

  4. Project Activities • Numerous different activities will be conducted during the realization of this project. • In all three SEE countries, it will begin first with perceiving the specifics, real state, needs and current possibilities for acceptance new knowledge and development tendencies in embedded systems design for involving them in educational process as well as in research activities. • In respect to University of Cottbus, the current curricula and research methodologies in SEE countries will be critically analyzed and restructured with aim to achieve a compliance, harmonization and better quality.

Project Workplan • Training "Current Trends in Embedded System Design“, Nis, 29th June – 3rd July • Study stays in Germany, Summer ’09 • Meeting regarding curriculum improvement, Sarajevo, 9th-11th Sep • Workshop "Presenting research results and experience exchange“, Skopje, 26th-30th Oct • Final meeting, Frankfurt (Oder), 19th Nov

  6. Information for Participants • All administrative work is performed over BTU Cottbus • In order to get the travel costs covered original bills are needed • For all participants we need the bank account information and instructions for money transfer from abroad • For contact and information exchange: krstic@ihp-microelectronics.com
