  1. The third Tenet of our Church states that we believe in. ‘The virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection ascension and abiding intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ, His second coming and millennial reign upon earth’.

  2. Bible Studies on the SecondAdvent of Jesus Acts 1 v 11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

  3. For there to be a SecondAdvent there had to be a First The earliest Prophesy relating to the First Advent is Genesis 3 v 15 “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

  4. The Foundation laid by the First Advent, made it possible for the promise relating to the Second to be foretold.

  5. The Earliest Prophesy relating to the Second Advent is in Jude 1 v 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

  6. Apart from the First advent the doctrine of Second is one of the oldest. ‘Let’s note’ The Evidence of the First Advent recorded in Scripture

  12. The Second Advent is CalledThe Believers Hope 1 John 3 v 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

  13. It is a The Blessed Hope Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

  14. It is a Bright Hope 1 Peter 1 v 13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

  15. The Prophets Foretold it. • Angels Announced it. • Creation Longs for it. • Believers Live in the Anticipation of it.

Romans 8 vs 21 to 23 21 Because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labours with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

  17. The Second Advent is the most Prominent theme in the N.T. Prophecy occupies one third of Scripture, and one third of prophecy is taken up by the Second Advent

  18. Water Baptism is mentioned 19 times in 7 Epistles, and not at all in the remaining 14 The Lord’s supper is referred to 4 times in the gospels. Out of 21 Epistles it occurs Only once. 1Cor 11 vs 21 to 34

  19. The Second Advent is referred to 318 times in 260 chapters of the N.T. that means on average from Matthew to Revelation, it occurs once every 25 verses. Only Philemon. 2 & 3 of John Don't refer to it, all the others do

  20. There is overwhelming evidence In the scriptures to support the belief that we hold in the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ
