  3. What Were You Made to Be?? 6 But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? 7 You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor 8 and put everything under his feet." In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. (Heb. 2:6-8 NIV) See Jesus…Your Captain Brother

  4. What Happened to Us?? Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. (Heb. 2:8) See Jesus…Your Captain Brother

  5. What Happened to Us?? Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. (Heb. 2:8) Instead of us being on top of the world… …the world is on top of us The final problem that haunts us is DEATH (Heb. 2:14-15) See Jesus…Your Captain Brother

  6. What Is God Doing about It?? 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. (Heb. 2:9-10 NIV) Jesus comes as your CAPTAIN to engage in the fight on your behalf He doesn’t engage the fight as a super-hero… Jesus engages the fight as a BROTHER (2:9, 14, 17) See Jesus…Your Captain Brother

  7. What Is God Doing about It?? 10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. (Heb. 2:9-10 NIV) Jesus comes as your CAPTAIN to engage in the fight on your behalf Jesus engages the fight as a BROTHER (2:9, 14, 17) See Jesus…Your Captain Brother

  8. What Is God Doing about It?? Jesus makes you His sister/brother, crowned with glory and honor that now exceeds the angels (2:5,10-13) Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. (Heb. 2:11 NIV) Do you understand what that means?? See Jesus…Your Captain Brother
