  2. HISTORY AND AIMS • By initiative of the County Governor of Education in Nordland RKK was established i 1987 - in nine regions. • The municipalities own the RKK. RKK’s boarders members are either the mayors or the directors of management (chief officers). Monica Meisfjordskar/Torild Mastermo

AIMS In 1987 RKK started with this aim: • To serve basic education in the county so that the schools are provided with the best possible, equally good, opportunities for development, regardless of such aspects as size of schools, location and municipality economy.   4. forts In 2003 the aim altered to be: To provide in-service training and professional development in the public sector (schools, pre-schools, health etc.) as a strategy to improve regional development in the county of Nordland. Monica Meisfjordskar/Torild Mastermo

AKTIVITIES RKK gets its tasks/jobs primary from the municipalities: • Arrange courses, meetings, seminars + conferences within all sectors and adjusted to different professions. • Initiate, organize, lead and maintain inter-authority solutions, practical co-operating project and measures of co-operation. • Guidance in the municipalities reform work, on-going projects and reorganization.   6. Factors of Success • Professional skills in development of competence in public sector. Our specialty is to tailor measures in close co-operation with our employers and We use unequal ways of organizing: courses, seminars, conferences, network, observation or study outing. We possess unique local knowledge about: • Communication, available premises and equipment. • The participants needs/wishes, projects, previous participation,+ the municipalities /sectors challenges at national and local level. • Groups of participants and their leaders/ superiors.   8. Relations /Co-operators • RKK has a numbers of co-operators and employee internal, regional and external: • County Governor of Nordland • The County of Nordland , Upper Secondary schools • KS Nordland and KS Central • University Colleges and Universities • Helgeland Regional Council
