NGOs (procurement): ICLEI, SO:FAIR, Agenda21, local networks Networks of public procurers: expert conference IT procurement • Relating to discussion on Green IT • context EPD and national law reform • general initiatives on sustainable procurement

Building working relationships with procurers and stakeholders • „Selection criteria“: • Using existing contacts (institution or stakeholders) • Addressing the ‘vanguard’ • Volume of contracts / importance of institution • Organising workshops for public procurers • Contacting political decision makers Encouraging response in general Depending on general discussions on sust. proc.

Best Practice • ITDZ Berlin: Implementation with support from political decision makers • often precondition for initiative, chance for far-reaching cooperation • Agenda21 NRW: Spreading of message among public buyers through NGO cooperation • Better access to procurement bodies and decision makers • FU Berlin: Campaigning with student groups • Support provides more ressources, interaction btw. stakeholders and expertise
