  • Born October 27, 1914 in Swansea, Wales

  • Died on November 09, 1953 at the age of thirty-nine in New York City

  • Attended Swansea Grammar School

  • First international publication was published in 1933 “A Death Shall Have No Dominion”

  • Best known for the poem “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night”

  • Fun fact: Thomas was a heavy drinker and he died soon after leaving the NYC pub the White Horse Tavern

My Thoughts

  • The main message is that life is a precious thing that should be cherished and fought for

  • This poem really spoke to me because although it is speaking of how quickly death can come and has a feeling of sadness, it also shows that we should fight to live and enjoy the life we have
