  1. Facility Charges

  2. Playoff Facility Costs • Goal: To Provide Quality Events at Quality Facilities • As the stewards of your monies we need to be cognizant of facility costs • Majority of member school facilities are very good and charge nothing while others only charge for custodial fees at reasonable rates.

  3. CONCERNS Some member schools are charging either exorbitant facility/equipment charges and/or excessive custodial fees. *We realize the need to pay for reasonable school custodial time EXAMPLES • $75 per game for a electronic scoreboard • $200 for toilet paper and paper towels per day • Double time for custodial time on a school night • $50-100/hour for facility along with security and supervisor

  4. FACTS • 2007-08 Member schools charged the CCS $9,545 for facility usage (partial custodial costs) • 2007-08 Non Member Facilities charged the CCS $91,536 for facility usage, custodial and security • This amount is absorbed by all member schools

  5. POSSIBILITIES • The more member schools charge for facilities the less income to meet expenses. • 40% of CCS budget revenue is from events • Potential Consequences: -charge more at the gate -raise the school fees

  6. QUEST • To continue providing the best events at the best available facilities being aware of costs. • Working with member schools regarding site charges
