Top ranked industries: March 2011 Volumes on the telecommunications industry has seen a significant increase in March, with the controversy surrounding the interconnect fees between cellular operators driving the majority of coverage for the industry. This also explains the lower weighted ratings for the telecoms industry for March. Aside the banking, telecoms and mining sectors, few industries achieved noticeable exposure in the media.

  3. Top ranked companies: March 2011 Spurred on by the recent NCC regulation barring higher charges to cellular operators, MTC received high volume coverage in most newspapers. The numerous newspaper articles surrounding the ensuing court challenge contributed a significant amount of negative coverage for MTC, although this did not lower weighted ratings as much on macro level analysis.

  4. Top corporate communicators: March 2011 Tim Ekandjo was the most visible spokesperson (with the highest share of voice) compared to all other Namibian companies and industries in March.
