  2. What is the Valley of the Kings? The Valley of the Kings is where pharaohs, architects, and viziers would be buried in the New Kingdom. All the pharoahs in the New Kingdom were buried here. Hatshepsut was the only lady buried in the Valley of the Kings. She was buried here because she wanted to be with Thutmose I.

  4. Where is the Valley of the Kings? The Valley of the Kings is in Egypt. Valley of the Kings is located on the west bank of the Nile near Thebes in a valley,so tomb robbers couldn’t find it.

  5. King Tut’s Tomb King Tut’s tomb was found in the Valley of the Kings. It was found on November 4, 1922 by Howard Carterand was paid for by Lord Carnarvan. They couldn’t find the tomb for so long because when they built another tomb next to his all the rubble covered up the door.

  7. Hatshepsut’s Temple This temple is located west of the Valley of the Kings in a great place called Deir el-Bahri. This mortuary temple was named the most beautiful temple. Some rare things like frankincense trees were found in her temple brought from Punt. Construction on this took fifteen years to complete.

  9. Seti I Tomb Seti the First has the longest and deepest tomb of all in the Valley of the Kings. It was measured to be 136 meters. This tomb was found in 1818 by Giovanni Battista Belzoni. It was also the first to have decoration and paintings. He was appeared to be less than 40 years when he died. When they were checking for the cause of death they saw no violence wounds so he must have died from age.
