  3. Title I Program • Post ISD Elementary receives $117,191.00 in Title I funding. • These funds support • Salaries • Professional Development • Supplies and materials

  4. Title I • Post ISD Elementary Campus Leadership Team has developed a Campus Improvement Plan which serves as our Title I school wide program plan. • Our plan includes the ten school wide components required of every Title I school wide campus. • The Campus Improvement Plan is available for review on our website. • If you have any input on the Campus Improvement Plan, comments and suggestions may be submitted in writing to the campus administration.

  5. Curriculum • Post ISD Elementary uses the following curriculum: • Math: Origo • Reading/ELA: Pearson Reading Street • Social Studies: Scott Foresman • Science: STEM- Scope and Discovery Streaming • PK: Scholastic • Other: Lexia, Istation, Zaner-Bloser, Media Cast, Read Right, Measuring up, Making Learning Fun, ABC Teach and various i-pad apps

  6. Assessments • Post ISD students may be assessed in the following ways: • Teacher made tests • Curriculum provided tests • On-line testing • Informal/formal observations • Standardized testing • State mandated testing • STAAR, STAAR M, STAAR ALT, TPRI, TELPAS • Students at Post ISD are measured for Adequate yearly Progress (AYP) each year.

  7. Parent Involvement • Post ISD Elementary has developed a parental involvement policy that states how our campus involves parents. This document is a part of our Campus Improvement Plan and may be found on the website. • Parent Portal, please contact Kay Postell at Central Office 495-3343 • Parent/Teacher conferences

  8. School – Parent Compact • Post ISD Elementary provides all parents/guardians with a school-parent compact. Please read this document, sign it and get it back to us. A copy of this document may be found on our website.

  9. Annual Evaluation • In the Spring, Post ISD Elementary will conduct an evaluation of our Title I program. We look forward to hearing your input at that time as well as through out the year.

  10. Child Find • Child Find is a program that provides assistance to any child who may, or may not be, of school age that demonstrates a need for intervention or help. • Any adult may report information to Post ISD Administration at 495-3414.

  11. Growing and changing… • Transportation • Bus drop off lane in the front of the building • Students riding the bus will be walked to the bus • Parent drop off and pick up lane in the back only, please • All students not riding the bus will be walked out back to be picked up

  12. Car Lane • Please be patient with us! • You will be given 2 laminated car tags and will need to show them to the adults in the car lane to pick up your children. • If you have children in more than one grade level, you will have car tags for each child.

  13. Visiting us • Part of our growing and changing is to address the safety of Post ISD students and staff. • New procedures for visitors to Post Elementary: • All visitors will enter through the middle front doors…bike rack! • You will need to have your picture id…it will be returned to you when you leave • Visitors will be given a Visitor’s Pass to wear while in the building and will need to turn it in when they leave the building

  14. Parking • Angle parking and on the street for visitors and deliveries. • There is no parking in the back of the building!

  15. The first week… • Parents/guardians are welcome to walk their student(s) to class the first week of school without having to show a picture id. • Starting the first day of school at the end of the day students will be put on the bus or will be walked out to the car lane in the back. • Any time parents/guardians wish to eat lunch with their student, they will be required to have a picture id, register and wear a visitor’s pass.

  16. After the first week… • Beginning Tuesday September 3rd – no school Monday the 2nd – all visitors will be required to have a picture id, register and wear a visitor’s pass to enter the building. • Parents/guardians wishing to eat lunch with their child will be required to have a picture id, register and wear a visitor’s pass.

  17. Cafeteria • If you owe money from last year, please see Mrs. Line. Students that owe money will be served a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. • Students may charge only 2 times. After 2 charges, students will be served a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. • Students may not share food – Department of Agriculture, Federal law.
