  2. Introduction Inventory system is basically the total amount of goods and materials held in stock by a factory, store and other businesses. In its simplest sense the inventory can be done by a manual operation at the end of the day, month or year. In this, it is possible to keep a record of the goods that comes in the Restaurant and being used by the restaurant. Restaurant Inventory system is proposing by the proponents to Max’s Restaurant for their inventory process.

  3. Project overview The inventory process of Max’s Restaurant is just a manual operation that’s why the proponents proposed a system that will transform their inventory process of the said company into a computerized inventory process. The employees encounter some problems with regards to their inventory processing such as the security, products miscomputation, time consuming, data loss, manual checking and file storage. The proponents will develop a system that will make the product’s data be secured and only the authorized user can access it.

  4. They have a problem in the security of the product files because it’s a hand writing process so anyone can edit the records of the products that had been written by the employee. Sometimes the employee miscomputes the used and remained products in the stockroom. They also spend much time in checking of the products and in making of inventory reports. They have also a problem in keeping the files of the products because they only keep it in the filing cabinets since it’s a handwritten. The proponents will develop a system that will make the product’s data be secured and only the authorized user can access it. The proponents will develop a system that computes the products correctly through automated process. The proponents will develop a system that provides an automated file handling so that the user can avoid of losing the product’s data. The proponents develop a system that will lessen the time that consumed by the personnel in monitoring the product. The proponents develop a system that can check the status of the product using computerized process.

Problem domain • Security - since the product’s data is just a handwritten so anyone can edit the details of the product. • Miscomputation - sometimes the personnel made a wrong computation of the remaining and used products. • Data loss - some data and files can be loss because it only kept on the filing cabinets. • Manual productchecking-checking of a product is just a manual so the personnel can check the products incorrect.

Objectives of the project • To develop a system that will make the product’s data be secured and only the authorized user can access it. • To develop a system that can computes the stock in and stock out. • To develop a system that provides an automated file handling so that the user can avoid of losing the product’s data. • To develop a system that can checks the status of the product using computerized process.

  7. Scope of the project • Generating daily reports - the system can generate of daily inventory reports of the equipments and stocks of the restaurant. • Product monitoring - the system can monitor the product’s status (expiration date, number of the used and unused products) • Product computation - the system can compute the delivered products and remaining products inthe warehouse.
