  1. Roll of 4g in pakistan By Rizwan Majeed Roll no (2017-037)

  2. Objectives: We will learn about: • Definition of 4g • Introduction of 4g • History of 4g • Motivation of 4g • advantage of 4g • Disadvantages of 4g • Future prospective • application of 4g

  3. Definition of 4G: • In telecommunication system, 4g is the fourth generation of mobile phone communication technology standards. It is A successor to the third generation (3g) standards. A 4g system provides mobile ultra-broadband internet access. . For example to laptops with USB wireless modems, to smart phones, and to other mobile devices.

  4. Introduction of 4g: • Characterized by high speed of data rates. • In march 2008, the international telecommunications union-radio communications sector (ITU-R) specified a set of requirements for 4g standards, named the international mobile telecommunications advanced(IMT-advanced) specification, setting peak speed requirements for 4g service at 100 megabits per second (Mbit/s) for high mobility communication (such as from trains and cars) and 1 gigabit per second (Gbit/s) for low mobility communication (such as pedestrians and stationary users).

  5. Features: • We will also be able to stream high definition television and Redoin to hand held devices. • 4g is adoption of packet switching instead circuit switching invoice and video calls. • With packet switching, resources are only used when there is information to be sent across. • 4g will allow users to download of full length feature film, documents, books and music within 5 minutes.

  6. History: • In April 2008, LG and Nortel demonstrated e-UTRA data rates of 50 Mbit/s while travelling at 110 km/h. • On 12 November 2008, htc announced the first wimax-enabled mobile phone, the max 4g. • On 3 march 2009, Lithuania's lrtc announcing the first operational "4g" mobile wimax network in Baltic states. • In December 2009, sprint began advertising "4g" service in selected cities in the united states, despite average download speeds of only 3–6 Mbit/s with peak speeds.

  7. History: • On 4 June 2010, sprint released the first wimax Smartphone in the US, the HTC Evo 4G. • On 25 august 2010, Latvia's LMT opened LTE "4g" network working in test regime 50% of territory. • In September 2011, all three Saudi telecom companies STC, Mobily and Zain announced that they will offer 4g LTE for USB modem dongles, with further development for phones by 2013.

  8. WHICH COUNTRIES HAVE 4G: • Except for the Scandinavian countries, a few countries have started the 4g commercially. • In the us. Sprint NEXTEL initiated the service last year. • Countries excepted to launch 4g by this year are Germany, Spain, china, Japan and England.

  9. WHERE DO WE WANT TO GO? • 4g : • high transfer rate. • Internet access anywhere. • Utilization of smart antennas. • High resolution mobile TV. • Ability to move around with the same IP address.

  10. APPLICATIONS OF 4G: • Better usage of multimedia applications. • Virtual presence;4g system gives mobile users a “virtual presence” for example, always on connections to keep people on event)video conferencing. • 4g in normal life: • Traffic control • Mobile phones • Sensor on public vehicle

  11. FUTURE PROSPECTS: • 4G is coming quicker. • Fast internet access to both stationary and mobile users. • 4g can be efficiently combined with cellular technologies to make consistent use of smart phones and also create video blogs. • 4g is capable of providing new horizon of opportunity for both existing and startup telephone companies.

  12. ADVANTAGES: • Affordable communication service. • Global access, service portability and scalable mobile services and variety of quality of service provided. • Seamless network of multiple protocol and air interfaces. • Support for interactive multimedia, streaming video , internet and other broadband service. • High speed, high capacity and low cost per bit.

  13. USES OF 4G: • For the customer. • Sales for automation. • Video conferencing. • Real time financial information. • High speed Tele-working/VPNaccess.

  14. Roll of 4G in Nursing: • Nursing will be able to get more information form latest technology of internet. I-e (4G) • Nurses will get medical help within a few minutes. • Nurses provide best medical precautions or care against the diseases to the people in the home throughout 4g.

  15. Conclusion: • Affordable communication service. • Fast internet access to both stationary and mobile users. • High speed, high capacity and low cost per bit. • Support for interactive multimedia, streaming video , internet and other broadband service.
