  2. The story of the gallon man • He (or She) FOR SURE needs a name!!! 

  3. Our gallon man has… • 1 body (gallon) • 4 limbs (quarts) • 8 appendages (pints) (hands/feet) • 16 digits (cups) (fingers/toes)

  4. So, how do we make him??? • Each group needs the following: • 4 different colored pieces of construction paper • Scissors • Glue • Markers • Select which color will represent each part of his being • Body • Arms/legs • Hands/feet • Fingers/toes

So, how do we make him??? • Body (Gallon) • This is done…1 whole piece of construction paper! • Label as G (or Gallon) • Arms/Legs (Quarts) • Fold & cut 1 piece of construction paper into 4 pieces • Glue these around the body • Label each as QT • Hands/Feet (Pints) • Fold & cut 1 piece of construction paper into 8 pieces • Glue 2 pieces onto each arm and 2 pieces onto each leg • Label each as PT • Fingers/Toes (Cups) • Fold & cut 1 piece of construction paper into 16 pieces • Glue 2 pieces onto each hand and 2 pieces onto each foot • Label each as C
