  2. These were people who wanted to solve the many problems of the nation. If people know about the problems. They will fix them!

  4. What was a problem for people or for the country during the Progressive Era? 1900-1915

  5. Unsafe Housing, bad working conditions. No laws about the quality of food or Medicine. Child Labor Unfair business practices Racial discrimination

  6. Muckrakers

  7. These were writers who researched the problems, printed in books a newspapers. Theodore Roosevelt named them. Raked up dirt, found out bad things, and let people know about them.

  8. This person Wrote “The Jungle” Which was about the unsafe and filthy working conditions in meat packing plants.

  9. Upton Sinclair

  10. Roosevelt pushed this through, said all food and drugs must meat quality standards and label correctly.
