  3. Big Lottery & Family Lives • Secure the future of parent support regionally. • Increase partnership working & calls from parents • Promote our services through designated GP Surgeries, children centres and other partners • Community services involvement

FundingPurpose • Build relationships with 8 surgeries in Hampshire over 3 years • Phased project, Year 1 – Gosport and Bitterne surgeries – encompassing urban and rural areas • Years 2 & 3 – Shirley, Totton, Winchester, Romsey, Havant & North Hants • Secure relationships with Parenting Support agencies across South Hants 2010-12.

Vicky Rew- • FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER for Family Lives for 7 years Runs courses & workshops: • Dealing with Anger • Less Shouting • ‪More co-operation, • New Parent; New Baby; • Stress Busting • Surviving the Summer Holidays • Lets Play; • Understanding your Child/Teenager; • Building Self Esteem, • Starting School • Parents EFA trainer‬ • ‪‪Specific interests:  Have worked as volunteer with Southampton Womens Aid, Mental Health issues, ADHD, ASD

Hazel Chenhall FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER for Family Lives in 2005 Hazel has 30 years experience of working with Families, as a Head teacher and subsequently within the 3rd sector, in various roles including as a trainer/ facilitator. Hazel delivers individual support to families and parenting programmes such as: • the Webster –Stratton ‘Incredible Years’ • ‘Dealing with Anger’, • ‘Understanding behaviour’ • ‘Managing change’. • She has been commissioned to set up and run various projects including one to support for parents who are involved in the CAF procedure/Social Care and a project based at Southampton Football Club, to engage with Dads and male carers. • At present, she runs a ‘Hub’ in Eastleigh, working with Volunteers, supporting parents referred to us by GP’s, Health Visitors/Nurses and other professionals in the community as part of our Big Lottery/ Dept. of Education project.

Lynn Hobbs • FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER for Family Lives a year ago, after 7 year as a Parent Support Adviser and Family Support Worker with families with children of ages 0 to 19, in the Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Waterlooville and Hayling Island areas. Delivers regularly course, some of which are: • Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) level 4 • Group Teen, level 3 for individuals and level 2 as a seminar Speakeasy (supporting parents to talk to their children about sex, relationships ,growing up) • Understanding Children's Behaviour,   • Stressbusting for Parents • Flexible courses based on the Family Lives resources, according to needs. • level 4 diploma through OCN for Working with Families • Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education.

Avril Spake • FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER for Family Lives for a year; delivered and facilitated courses and workshops, as well as one to one support to families • Run courses for 5 years for the Families Caring Trust • With the The Hampton Trust for 3 years , running programmes for families that have been through domestic violence following • Completed Incredible Years Training.   • DV OCN qualification •  City and Guilds qualification Working With Parents level 3. • PTTLS qualification in teaching adults last year.

Sarah Chapman • Sarah is the Family Lives FAMILY SUPPORT COORDINATOR since February 2009. • She offers Individual Support Sessions, especially supporting teenage mums, • Co-facilitates courses run by the Hampshire office • Previously, a support worker for Catch 22, involved in the 3D Project, an exit project for sex street working women   • I am also a qualified Youth Worker, and volunteer for No Limits for their Break-Out Project – a service for young people with sexuality or gender identity issues. • Sarah has 3 children of her own and first hand experience of knowledge of CAFCASS and the family courts, gaining access to your child.

  11. Liz Lawrence • FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER for Family Lives for 1 year; she offers individual support for parents, in person or on the telephone • Co-facilitates group workshops run by Family Lives. • Currently setting up a "hub" in this area, starting with Lymington and New Milton, which will offer parenting support to parents/carers via their local GP and the local Sure Start centres.  • OCN Level 3 in Supporting Families • Volunteer for Victim Support, mainly supporting victims of Domestic Violence, but am trained to support all victims of crime, and recently completed my training which allows me to support victims of Sexual Violence and those affected by Murder and Manslaughter.  • Previously has been a volunteer for Samaritans.  

  12. WORKING WITH PROFESSIONALS • In partnership, to deliver support, courses and workshops for parents • offering specific training to other professionals working with parents, as described on our website www.familylives.org.uk
