  • The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was signed into law on March 23, 2010.

  • The Act included amending Title V of the Social Security Act by adding Section 511 titled “Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Programs.”

$1.5 billion over 5 years for states, tribes, and territories to deliver services using one or more evidence-based home visitation programs

Appropriations:

$100 million for FY 2010

$250 million for FY 2011
