  2. Parent/Guardian E-mail List • A parent/guardian e-mail went out last Friday with a recap of the week. If you did not receive this e-mail and would like to, please complete the information on the clip board. • SPAN- Grades are up to date. Grades will increase once tutorials are completed and students complete test corrections

  3. Daily Schedule -Bell Ringer/Voice Lessons-Students have 10 minutes to write a response to an excerpt that asks them analyze Diction, Imagery, Details, Syntax, or Tone. Voice Lessons are collected every 10 entries. Worth 100 Points. -AP Terms: In preparation for the AP exam, we have an AP Terms quiz twice a week (25 words each quiz). -Mondays: Multiple Choice Practice. Scores will be curved; tests are extremely difficult.

  6. Books • Summer Reading: Students are completing the “other half” of summer reading by the end of Feb. This is “weekend” homework. • All novels are available at GHHS. Additionally, I will always try to include links for online texts and free audio recordings.

  7. Research Paper • We will complete a three page research paper during the 2nd quarter. The topic will be a controversial issue that relates to American Society. • We will complete the majority of the research, planning, and typing outside of class. However, ample resources will be available on the web page.

  8. AP Exam • Free Online Practice exams (link on web page) • AP Language Exam is Wednesday, May 11th • Cost of exam is $87 • Students can test out of their English Composition Course (Savings of $1200 @ public university) • Registration begins next week
