Who we are? • The South Bay Community Tennis Association (SBCTA) and Los Gatos Athletic Association (LGAA) are joining forces to raise funds for the renovation of the Los Gatos High School tennis courts • The South Bay Community Tennis Association (SBCTA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 to promote the game of tennis by providing funds to build or improve public facilities & provide programs and scholarships to disadvantaged youths in the South Bay. • The Los Gatos Athletic Association (LGAA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1973 to support the Los Gatos High School athletics programs • All contributions are tax deductible and both associations are approved as 501(c) (3) organizations by the IRS • Todd Dissly is the Director of all Los Gatos High School Tennis Programs and President of the SBCTA.

  3. Scope of Work • Why is this project needed? • LGHS tennis courts has been resurfaced multiple times and can no longer support a resurface, needs a full renovation of foundation to prevent further cracks from reoccurring. • Surface cracks are a serious hazard to tennis players. • The fences are damaged and need to be replaced. • Lights are needed for courts 4 and 5. • What will be done? • All courts will be refurbished and resurfaced. • Lights will be added on courts 4 and 5 (2 courts). • Fences will be replaced around all courts. • Seating areas for players will be created.

Approvals & Schedule • This project has been approved by Los Gatos High School pending LGAA raising the additional funds required to completely fund the project. • The project is schedule to be completed as soon as funding is in place. • Los Gatos High School has assigned the rights to advertising space around the Los Gatos High School Tennis Courts to the SBCTA during the Boys and Girls tennis seasons.

Funding of Project • Los Gatos High School District $15,000 • LGS Recreation 15,000 • United States Tennis Association 15,000 • National Recreation & Park Assoc. 5,000 • Los Gatos Athletic Association 2,500 Pending Seed money $52,500 • Funds to be raised through the LGAA $122,500 via the sale of advertising Space around the Los Gatos High School Tennis courts during the Boys and Girls tennis team season assigned to SBCTA.

  8. Banner Visibility • 2,500 Los Gatos High School Students + Family & Friends • The LGHS hosts several Sports Events during the school year. (CCS Tournaments, All-Comers Track Meet) 5000 + individuals • 1,500 adults/juniors participate in Recreation Tennis Classes given on the LGHS courts annually • USTA Coaches Workshops • USPTA South Bay Jr. Cup Tournament & matches – 1000 + participants

LGHS Tennis Program Awards & Achievements • 2006 - Todd Dissly receives USPTA Professional of the year award • 2006 – Tennis Industry Association, Ranked Top 50 Tennis Welcome Center in USA • 2006 – CIF/CCS Scholastic Award for highest GPA • 2006 - Todd Dissly receives USTA Warren Brown award for service to Junior Tennis • 2006 – Todd Dissly receives USTA Community Tennis Volunteer of the year • 2005 - Todd Dissly receives California Coaches Association Coach of the year • 2005 - LGHS Boys Tennis Team Ranked #1 in USTA Northern California Section • 2005 - LGHS Boys Tennis Team Ranked #1 in Central Coast Section • 2004 - Todd Dissly receives US Professional Tennis Association - Northern California High School Coach of the year award • 2004 - LGHS Boys Tennis Team Ranked #1 in USTA Northern California Section • 2004 - LGHS Boys Tennis Team Ranked #1 in Central Coast Section • 2003 - Todd Dissly - High School Coach of the year award from USPTA • 2003 - Los Gatos Boys Team #1 in Central Coast Section

  10. Who will Benefit • The Boys and Girls Tennis Teams at Los Gatos High School. Nationally recognized by USTA as a “no-cut” sport supporting both Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Developmental Teams • Summer Tennis camps for Juniors provided through Los Gatos/Saratoga Parks & Recreation Department • These weekly summer camps are for new players ages 7-14 • These camps have grown from 3 to 8 weekly summer camp sessions over the last 4 years and are sold out for all sessions with over 64 kids per week • Introduction of Rallyball, the FUN way to learn and play tennis • Rallyball uses new progression equipment a games-based approach in a team-oriented environment to learning the skills of tennis • Recreations Tennis programs for Adults provided through the Los Gatos/Saratoga Parks and Recreation Department • A wide variety of recreational and competitive tennis programs are provided for all ages and levels of play • Cardio Tennis programs are provided which focus on physical fitness in addition to tennis skills
