  6. Adding LZ Sites in ASISTS The Family Welcome Center must be coded for easy identification among all other sites in ASISTS

  8. Adding LZ Satellite Sites in ASISTS Satellite Sites should also be easily identifiable in ASISTS

  9. Adding LZ Instructional and non-Instructional Offering

  10. Adding LZ Instructional and non-Instructional Offering Each Literacy Zone Instructional Offering must be coded with the LZ tag, that leaves 18 characters for your own customization

  11. Adding LZ Instructional Offerings Instructional Type All literacy classes taking place within the Literacy Zone should have either BE, ES or GE/H coding All vocational classes taking place with the Literacy Zone should have O coding

  12. Adding LZ NON-Instructional Offerings Instructional Type All Case Management must be recorded in NON-Instructional coded offerings Case Management

  13. Additional Funding Sources • Lit Zone funding source does not need to be used exclusively • Additional funding codes can be added providing those funding sources support the LZ activity being described • So literacy classes may also be supported by EPE, WIA or any other funding source an agency reports • Caution on using EPE funding code for Case Management activity (very specific criteria must be met for case management under EPE guidelines, please refer to the EPE Manual for more information)

  14. Partner Agencies: • Each Literacy Zone identified partner agencies in their proposals • Those partner agencies now must be recorded in ASISTS • If new partner agencies are added, that information should be shared with NYSED Regional Liaison before entering into ASIST

  15. Adding LZ Partner Agencies All Partner Agencies must be recorded in ASISTS so referrals can be documented

  16. Adding LZ Goal Information Edit Literacy Zone Additional Outcome Each Zone must categorize the outcomes described in their LZ Proposal and then add each Outcome Descriptor in ASISTS

  18. Record Outcomes for NRS and non-NRS Students

  19. Outcomes Divided into 10 Categories These 10 Categories are hard coded in ASISTS, they cannot be changed at this time

  20. Literacy Zone Goals These descriptors are entered by each Literacy Zone in ASISTS

  27. All NRS criteria met for students who are receiving instruction ** • All 5 Key Demographic Fields completed • Valid Pre Test • A minimum of 12 contact hours • Enrolled in BE, ES, GE/H Instructional Offering • Valid Post Test
