  2. Circulatory System - The circulatory system moves blood throughout the body- Blood vessels are the “roads” that the blood travels down - Arteries are blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart- Capillaries are a network of tiny blood vessels that act like a highway interchange- Venules carry deoxygenated blood back to the veins from the capillaries - Veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart http://www.biosbcc.net/doohan/sample/htm/COandMAPhtm.htm

  3. Respiratory System - The respiratory system helps you breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide- Lungs deliver oxygen for cellular respiration and excrete carbon dioxide- Cilia is tiny hairs that warm up sir when you breathe - Larynx contains vocal cords - Trachea is the air passage to the lungs - At the base of the trachea branch two tubes called the bronchi- Air goes from the bronci to two smaller tubes called bronchioles- Alevoli’s are tiny thin walled sacks- Gas exchange is when the blood makes a full circuit of the system- gets oxygen from the lungs and and gets pumped all the way around the body and back.- Smoking makes it hard to breathe and can lead to lung cancer http://www.bs757.com/2013/10/simple-ways-to-keep-your-lungs-healthy/

  4. Heart http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart - Heart pumps blood throughout the body- Atria moves blood from the body to the heart- Ventricles pump blood out of the heart

  5. Blood - Blood performs several functions necessary for your health - Plasma 55% of your blood is plasma, it is a clear fluid.- Red blood cells carry oxygen- White blood cells fight infection and prevent the growth of cancer- Platelets are important for clotting blood. They form a scab http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_blood_cell
