  1. Program Evaluation Plan Report Board of Education Meeting April 26th, 2012 Curriculum

  2. Purpose of the Program • The primary purpose of the program is to provide clearly articulated instructional objectives and performance standards aligned with state and national standards in order to move students toward proficient or higher competencies

  3. Service Delivery Model • Course development through content teams • 5 year curriculum cycle review • Course Needs Assessment • Writing through the content teams • Utilization of Build Your Own Curriculum (BYOC) for instructional alignment • Curriculum Mapping • Instructional Framework development • Course / content revision or deletion

  4. Program Deployment Status • Services are fully deployed without significant weaknesses or gaps in any areas or schools

  5. Progress Toward Previous Program Goal GOAL: Teachers will use curriculum guides to plan effective instruction and appropriate assessment strategies. RESULTS: Based on data 75.4% of teachers indicated the content considered essential for all students to learn versus that considered supplemental has been identified and communicated to teachers. Based on data 90.8% of teachers agreed they begin instructional units by presenting students with clear learning goals.

  6. Progress Toward Previous Program Goal GOAL: Park Hill curriculum will align with fourth cycle MSIP standards RESULTS: Park Hill meets all 4 standards.

  7. Progress Toward Previous Program Goal GOAL: Park Hill employees will utilize the curriculum portal as a method of ongoing planning and instructional support. RESULTS: Based on April BYOC data, there have been 818 Administrative logins and 1496 Park Hill logins for a total of 2314 logins from staff members.

  8. Future Program Goals to be Evaluated • Teachers will use curriculum guides to plan effective instruction and appropriate assessment strategies • Park Hill curriculum will align with Fourth Cycle MSIP standards or Fifth Cycle as it becomes available • Park Hill employees will utilize the curriculum portal as a method of ongoing planning and instructional support.

Plan for Evaluation Measurable Outcomes Data Collection Methods • Results will indicate an increase in the identification and communication of essential content • Results will indicate an increase in the number of teachers who state they use the curriculum guide to make instructional decisions • Park Hill will continue to meet MSIP standards • Assessments • Document reviews • Surveys and questionnaires • Interviews
