  1. Facilities for 9-cell Nb cavities

  2. (1) A standard ultrasonic cleaner “SONO SW30H” The cleaner with inside container dimension of 505L*300W*200H is bought, its vibrator frequency is 38kHz, ultrasonic power is 300W, it is used to wash half cell, dumbbell , stiffen ring, beam tube and so on in clean room.

  3. (2)Frequency measuring device for half cell and dumbbell By calculation, the relation of the frequency depend on the length of iris and equator linear section can be obtained. so during edge cutting, we can determine how many length of iris and equator will be cut for each half cell and dumbbell. This require a frequency measuring device should be of several kHz frequency stability and good measurement repeatability. 1、Half cell 1/2pi mode calculation 2、Dumbbell pi mode calculation

The mode’s Q value can reach more than 3000, the stability of frequency is low than 1kHz. 1、Half cell 1/2pi mode measurement 2、Dumbbell 1/2pi and pi mode measurement

  5. (3)Vacuum container with Teflon clamper for dumbbell and end cell transportations and CBP

  6. (4)HPR device A HPR device had been designed, now it’s just under parts fabrication. A THK type guide with 1510mm effective moving range is chosen, and a oriental motor with center hole of 20mm is adopted. The 9-cell cavity is hanged on top plate support, nozzle pipe move up and down with the speed of 0.5 to 5 minute per turn along the guide, also the nozzle rotate with the speed of 0.4 to 20 rpm. Since this device is not only used for 9-cell 1.3GHz cavity, also it can serve for BEPCII 500 MHz cavity.

  7. (4)HPR device (con’t) Two special design for nozzle and guide water-proof structure.

  8. (5)Ultrasonic cleaner A custom-designed ultrasonic rinsing tank will be fabricated to satisfy the rinsing requirements of the 9-cell 1.3 GHz and 500MHz cavity. During washing period, the cavity can move along the guide which is same as HPR used one. In order to choose the ultrasonic machine parameter, I send a email to Hayano-san to inquire the design parameter of STF one. Refer STF design, we choose the tank inside size is 650mm*850mm*1500mm(height), but four vibrator put in both side of tank, the effective space is reduced to about 650mm*650mm*1500mm, the heater power is 6kW, that means it need 6 hour to warm up whole tank water 20 degree higher. The vibration power is 8 kW, each vibrator is 2 kW. Oscillation frequency choose 40 kHz.

So you need to think about to use these fluid for ultrasonic rinsing.   10. (6)Vertical pretuning device after taking 6 time pretuning, the field flatness had reached 97.8%.

(6)Vertical pretuning device (con’t) 1、A Labview program control the step motor and network analyzer to start up synchronously, also it download and record the phase data from network analyzer after phase sweeping. 2、A Java program calculate the frequency error of each cell respect to target setting frequency, also it calculate the flatness for this turn measurement.
