  5. There’s a new villain in town and it is up to you to inform the public of it’s possible dangers. You will create a WANTED poster to warn people of this enemy and capture this varmint DEAD or ALIVE!

  6. Learning Target Success Criteria I am successful when I have completed my Microorganism WANTED Poster checking to make sure I have met ALL criteria. I can explain how a specific virus, bacteria, fungus or parasite may infect the human body and interfere with normal body functions.

Microorganism Enemy Choices Bacteria: • Streptococcus • Helicobacter pylori • Salmonella • Staphylococcus aureus • Bacillus anthracis • Clostridium botulinum • Rickettsia Virus: • Varicella zoster • Ebola • Influenza • Human Immunodeficiency Virus • Variola Fungi: • Tineapedis • Candida albicans • Tineacorporis • Cryptococcus neoformans Parasite: • Anoplocephalaperfoliata • Plasmodium falciparum • Sarcoptesscabiei • Cryptosporidium • Giardia lamblia

Your poster MUST contain the following information: • Enemy Name • scientific • common • Picture • Microorganism Category (is it a bacteria, virus, etc…?) • Disease it causes • Where it “hangs out”? • geographically • anatomically • Potential Weaknesses • Fun Fact (1 or more) • ON THE BACK OF YOUR POSTER: Names of your sources – At least 3
