The Acquisition Strategy • Leverage CIO Modernization and Enterprise Transformation efforts • Align acquisition with GSA FAS strategic vision and expectation to use existing GSA sources of supply • Address industry concerns
CALM Impact • Requirements • BPA Order • Order to reflect agile implementation • Schedule • October 2019 - COMET is awarded • Fall 2019 - CALM order competed on COMET • Winter 2020 - CALM order notional award and work begins • Spring 2020 - Value delivered to non-MAS ITC pilot group. Next Steps for CALM • Reconcile industry feedback on draft CALM RFQ (there’s still time! Send feedback to FASCWS@GSA.GOV) • Work with CALM operational steering committee team, contracting and IT to determine final requirements and evaluation approach • Develop and distribute second draft RFQ for industry/workforce feedback • Finalize acquisition strategy once COMET is awarded • Establish acquisition milestones • Issue RFQ (see slide 4 for notional timelines)
