Tools(a.k.a.coping mechanisms) • Have students do more work for themselves • Practice minimal marking • For informal writing: comment/read in selected chunks • For formal writing: pick 5 things to comment on and stick to those 5 things • Use rubrics • Set a timer or stopwatch • Fire the grammar police!
