  6. A sentence….

  7. But… A clause is a group of words which contains at least a subject and a verb. In this, clauses are like sentences, and a clause may stand as a sentence if it makes sense as a complete thought. (independent clause) However, clauses are not always a complete thought and so may need to be joined with other clauses to express a complete thought, and become a sentence. (dependent clause)

  8. Find the subject, verb and object in each of the sentences below.

  13. Simple Sentence The teacher gives homework once a week. Compound Sentence Anne goes to college 3 times a week andshe likes it a lot. Complex Sentence The teacher gives homework once a week,which is every Thursday.

If you haven’t been yet, you should put it on your list of things to do! Many people from all over the world live in London, which helps make it one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world.
