  • PLACE DEFENSIVE TACKLES ON THE OUTSIDE OF EACH BAG WHICH WILL OPEN OR CLOST THE GAP RESPONSIBILITY

  • LB’S WILL FILL WHEN GAP IS OPEN AND SCRAPE OVER THE TOP WHEN GAP IS CLOSED

  • LB’S PUT TOES ON THE LINE WITH SHOULDERS SQUARE

  • TAKE 6 INCH POWER STEP RIGHT/LEFT LEG

  • WHILE TAKING STEP THROW RIGHT/LEFT ARM VIOLENTLY WITH THE STEP

  • REPEAT AT LEAST 3-4 TIMES WITH EACH STEP

  • MAKE SURE LB’S DON’T OVER STRIDE WITH STEP


SHED TECHNIQUEPHASE #2

  • MOVE LB’S ONTO THE SLED INTO PROPER FIT POSTION MAKE

  • FIT POSTION EQUALS RIGHT/LEFT FOOT SPLITTING THE SLED IN THE MIDDLE

  • LB’S TAKE 6 INCH POWER STEP AND FALL INTO SLED THROWING SAME ARM AS STEP WITH OUTSIDE ARM FREE

  • REPEAT 3-4 TIMES WITH RIGHT/LEFT FOOT


SHED TECHNIQUE 4 STEP APPROACHPHASE #3

  • MOVE LB’S BACK 4-5 YARDS FROM SLED & MAKE SURE THEY ARE SPLITTING THE SLED

  • GIVE HIT CALL WHICH REQUIRES KEY STEPS FIRST!

  • LB’S THEN ATTACH THE SLED WITH RIGHT/LEFT & SHOULDER DELIVERING A SHED

  • REPEAT 3-4 TIMES EACH SIDE

  • OUTSIDE ARM IS ALWAYS FREE

  • LINEBACKER SHOULD ALWAYS KEY STEP FIRST!
