  • Kevin Plank is the founder

  • 1996: the first micro fiber t-shirt was made.

    • It was used to wick moisture away.

  • Also in 1996, Under Armour developed performance product lines such as Coldgear, Heatgear, Tech Gear, and All Season to cover every climate and condition an athlete may face in a year.

  • 1997: Twelve college football teams and ten National Football League (NFL) teams begin wearing Under Armour garments.
