  2. Parts Of An Introductory Paragraph -Opening sentence- the first sentence of the introductory paragraph (Normally contains the hook) -Next sentence(s)- contains some background info about the story -main idea- includes the main focus of the story

  3. Good Introductory Paragraph When my older brother substituted fresh eggs for our hard-boiled Easter eggs, he didn’t realize our father would take the first crack at hiding them.My brother’s holiday ended early that particular day in 1991, but the rest of the family enjoyed the warm April weather, outside on the lawn, until late into the evening. Perhaps it was the warmth of the day and the joy of eating Easter roast while Tommy contemplated his actions that make my memories of Easter so sweet. Whatever the true reason, the fact is that my favorite holiday of the year is Easter Sunday.

  4. Bad Introductory Paragraph My name is Jumbahaliba. I live in Mozambique. I like watermelons. My brother, Joe, once ate 32 watermelons off of a tree. The most I can eat is 2. I am going to tell you the story about how I ate 2 watermelons. And by the way, I do not speak English since I am from Mozambique, so I do not know what I am actually saying.
