  3. Day 1 • “Skim” Ch. 7 pg.230-255 and discuss • Almanac Pages pg.230-231 • Teacher Read Aloud TE 231F

  4. Objective- Day 2 5.5.spi.5 Compare/Contrast life before and after the war.

  5. Day 2 • Create a notes page in spiral (see next slide) • Watch brainpop of WWI • Read WB 90 • Fill in top of WB 91 • No HW

  6. WB 91 • 1. Germany sank a British ship with Americans on board. • 2. Germany sank American ships • 3. The United States declared war in 1917. • 4. American troops landed in France two months later.

  22. World War I – The Draft Begins Selective Service Act (1917) – required all men from the age of 21 to 30 to register for the military draft · By 1918, approximately 4 million Americans joined the armed forces.
